Our story
The idea
Many small events were forced to charge high fees for selling tickets online, even though the service is no rocket science. Ron wanted to build a system that would make offering online tickets more affordable.
Low costs, full control
At RDtickets the organiser remains responsible for their own sales and receives revenue directly. This keeps costs low and gives the organiser full control.
RDtickets 1.0
The first version was completed. After extensive testing, the very first tickets could be sold.
Pilot: Summer Kick Off
The first event for RDtickets. Ticket sales went smoothly — over 1,400 tickets sold.
Growth and partnerships
The system was deployed at regional events. At the same time we partnered with Pay.nl for iDEAL payments.
RDtickets 2.0
The new system enabled organisers to manage and maintain their own events — the foundation of the platform as it exists today.
Staff planner
In addition to ticketing we launched the Staff Planner: recruitment, shifts, QR check-in and hour processing in one system. So organisers can manage not only their ticket sales, but also their team from the same platform.
Inventory
With the Inventory module, organisers gained control over their stock management: track beverages, food and merchandise in real time, create forecasts and prevent shortages — all from within RDtickets.
